Updates From Me.

Hello My Wonderful Readers,

I'm busy writing and hoping that there is some better luck for me out there. My families not been doing so hot recently so as always worried about them. Who wouldn't worry about their family right?

My jaw is still dislocated and working on getting it fixed. I hope to have the show up and running again when its all fixed up. The problem is that I can't talk for lengths of period of time without upsetting it further. 13 weeks and I wouldn't get it fixed until the 10th of January, if they do anything. You know my luck.

On the Writing front, I'm working through my books at the usual speed. I'm doing my best to keep it just the way that you like it. I'm looking to expand into Screenplay writing so let's keep our fingers crossed that I can sell some of my hopeful projects next year. I would love that very much.

Well I would like to thank you for stopping by to read this blog on the Week leading up to Christmas. Today I celebrated my one year and four months with XoXo Publishing. Yes, I've been an Author for that long. I know its doesn't feel the same for me either.

As I write this "A Different Life and Marie's Tales: I Just Want To Be Loved", has been approved and is now heading towards release. I have heard some rumours that I will be in Print by Valentines day. So lets wait and see if that is true. I'm not saying either way.

We will also see the release of "A Different Life: My Sacrifice" and "A Different Life: Weddings, Rings and Hell" from that series too. I signed the contract for "Marie's Tales: Taming A Player", which is the most exciting series to write. I love Marie's character and love the firey personality. Layla and Marie are the easiest characters for me to write.

Shetlands Immortals have two books coming out in the new year. The second and the third ones are contract so we will be hearing more about Carla's story very soon. I have some other projects that I'm working on. I am sure they are going to blow your socks off. You know me, I'm full of surprises.

We will see the second one to the "Free's Series" coming out next year. I promised that Ambers would have a second book and I can promise its going to be a hot one. We are going to be heading to American College for that one. There is some hot bodies in it and we will see more of Marie in there. Those two do rub each other the wrong way.

So please have a Merry Christmas and please stay safe. I will be thinking about all of you. Plus I will be doing a Merry Christmas Blog on the day, as well as a Question and Answer spell on Christmas Eve. I want to wish you a Happy New Year. Sending my love to all of you.

I'm so luck to speak to you all and remember that you can always ask me anything on Formspring or on my Official fanpage on Facebook.

Blurb

'In a town that was small and full of hot headed Highlanders there is a nurse who has a tattoo that is about to change her life. Nancy was a nurse who had recently graduated from the Nursing Program who decides to take a year off for herself after her father dies leaving her very well off. What Nancy finds in Immortal Thor is going to turn her world upside down as he is looking for a wife and she just happens to be the perfect fit.'

Excerpt

Even though she had never drunk in her life, she took a flute full of a liquid. Nancy saw a male come down the stairs who stole the breath right out of her chest. He was wearing tight black jeans that had bleached claw-like marks across the front pockets and they were so tight Nancy wondered how he could even stay in them. He was wearing a black silk shirt with an interesting symbol in gold embroidery where his heart would sit.

The symbol was of a hammer upside down and it had what looked to her like detailed tribal lines through it and around it. He had the same leather cowboy hat on that she did and he was wearing boots with silver shining metal that was wrapped all around the boot only leaving some black leather to show through.

Looking around, Nancy saw that everyone had stopped dead still and were staring up at him with huge, wide eyes. This stranger had black hair that reached down to his hips which he had tied up in a full length pelt tied off with a piece of black leather. That man was completely stunning in the way he moved down the stairs, and even the clinking of his feet against the wood made Nancy's heart feel as if it were up in her throat. The more she tried to tell herself she was being silly the more she got caught up in the image of this man.

“Thank you all for joining me here today and I think we will start the proceedings, now that Nancy is here; who is our dear friend’s only remaining daughter.” The male’s strong voice revealed very heavy and hard words for Nancy to swallow back as she raised her eyes to meet the cool black ones that had very cold blue centres.

Nancy felt herself shiver under the weight of his eyes as she made her way towards him, trying to force her lungs to breathe air in that, if she were honest, didn't seem to want to.

“We know this is a great deal for you to deal with Nancy, as you never knew your father. However, I can tell you that this is because he wished to protect you.” The male’s voice spoke softly, as if he were trying to charm her.

“Protect me from what?” Nancy blurted out, tightened her fingers around the rim of her bag, as she began to shake with a mixture of emotions that felt like it was going to topple her. This man was telling her that her absent father had been trying to protect her from something, yet she didn't understand what it was that he was meant to have protected her from. She had already lost all her family, and she was more alone than ever and her mind was unable to get control over itself.

Roots and Homeland

Hello Readers,

Todays a new day and I have been really working on something that makes you feel the Homeland that you love. This story am working on is properly the best thing I have ever written so far and it makes me think about where am from.  'Where are you from and what makes you feel connected to it?'

Where I am from they are starting to cut the Peet and they are talking about Up Hellya Aa all ready.  The women are picking out their winter formal dresses for parties and the things that are always on their calendar. The rest of us are getting the freezers ready for the winter months, getting ready for the last holiday's for the year. Those who have kids are teaching them about our traditions and still trying to get them to bed even though its still bright at Eleven a clock at night.

The Farmers are getting ready for the Harvest and those who are work with the Church are getting ready for what we do during the winter months.  Helping the Paster make sure the buildings are all prepared for the harsh winter months.  Everything starts to get ready for the bad winters we have now.  The Peet which, was harvest last year will be dry now and need moving to those houses that need it.  This is also the time that the community helps the old folk to get ready for the bad winter.  Helping with them stock their freezers and make sure that the meat is frozen.

By now the Fishing seasons are drawing to a close and the fish is being prepared for the winter.  Either salted or smoked by each of the houses or is being smoked at the Smoke House.  People are stocking up on their wines, Brandy's and Whiskeys.  Musicans are practing for some more winter meets and some performances. Even the Kids are checking their instraments and learning the tunes.

When all this is done we are normally ready and yet every year there is always someone who needs help and winter is a time that the community bands together.  People start dating alot and this is our most popular time of year for marriage perposals. New Brides have stacked their shelves with wedding magazines and have all the local contacts.  We really know winter is here when there is two woman fighting over the latest issue of Brides weekly.

I love the old songs that we learned at School when this time of year was kicking off. You know we had to order our Halloween customes months in advance and now they can just go to the shop.  It seems that in my nineteen years of knowing my roots and my homeland I have seen alot of changes.  The slow fall of the Fishing Idustry the anger of the people of the Islands at the scams that has targetted us as well as the problems with the Oil.

Yet this place is still one of the most peaceful places I have ever been too. The people would do alot for you if you ever needed it and there is always someone looking for a yarn. The seas are always full of life and even though there isn't a tree in sight half the time the farm land always had animals wondering around making some sort of noise an hassle.

The lands free there, plently of birds and endless amounts of wind. I loved it for the riding, you always knew where you were going and how to get back.  The place was small enough that you could go anywhere you liked.  I miss the place sort of.

I miss some of the traditions, some of the foods and the ability to watch the sea.  I loved to watch it and feel free to sit at the beach watching.

Please tell me below about your homeland and what makes it specail or not special to you?
