5/5 Review:
When it comes to historical romance I'm usually very picky and I don't normally fall for those more Mills and Boons style history books. This though was just the right mix of danger, love, scandal and a woman who is so lost she has no idea what she is doing. I also like that Annabelle is a strong woman through out the book and has to worm herself into the heart of the man who she ends up with.
The sense of danger starts from right at the beginning of the book. I also like the darker side to this story that you don't expect when it was release Avon first. Now its being relauched with awesome covers. This is a great first book to a series and its got a happy ever after feel to the ending. There is no cliff hanger to the book and it will suit all romance readers over the age of 16 in the UK and 18 in the US.
