The Prince Who Loved Me (The Oxenburg Princes, #1) by Karen Hawkins - Review

Dear all,

I'm so delight to write a review about a historical book that has something that we all love. The blurring of a reader getting to fall in love with their dream hero. I think if this is something of interest with you then you should read this book and the review I did about it.

The Prince Who Loved Me (The Oxenburg Princes, #1)  by Karen Hawkins

Meet the Princes of Oxenburg... Fairytales with a sizzling, Scottish, and delightfully sparkling twist from New York Times bestseller Karen Hawkins. Fans of Julia Quinn, Monica McCarty and Julie Garwood will fall under the spell of this enchanting romance.
Once upon a time a rakish prince who didn't believe in true love met a stubborn fair lady who wouldn't settle for anything less...
Prince Alexsey Romanovin revels in his life of carefree flirtation. So when his grandmother insists it's time for him to wed and whisks him away to Scotland, Alexsey vows to foil her plans. And when he stumbles upon Bronwyn Murdoch, the prince thinks he's found his answer.
Bookish Bronwyn has no time for a handsome flirt - no matter how intoxicating his kisses are. And she knows full well that a spoiled, arrogant prince wouldn't be seriously interested in such a firm-minded female. But if Alexsey is foolish enough to play such a game, then Bronwyn is determined to turn it upside down, and prove that an ordinary woman can bring a prince to his knees...
For more fun, flirty and dazzling romance, look out for Book Two in Karen Hawkin's Princes of Oxenburg series, The Prince And I, and The Princess Wore Plaid enovellaAnd catch her fabulous Duchess Diaries series.

Review 5/5

This book was just perfect in my opinion up until the ending. That was the part that I struggled with because I didn't feel like it was the best way to bring those two back together. It seemed to me that Bronwyn gave in too easily to his pitch of marriage. I also felt like there should be consequences to the grandmother and stepmother of the leading characters.

The rest though made the book remain 5/5 stars for there were so few moments that I was thrown out of it and the detail she puts into the book is fantastic. I love the rich snippets of Bronwyn's favourite book as this proceeds. I think that the fact that Prince was going to give her a book was an incredible detail. The shoe part was a little odd for me as it was like she was making the last minute ditched attempt to make it feel like a Cinderella story.

I will be continuing on with this series and look forward to seeing how the rest of it turns out. This, in my opinion, is a book for readers who are addicted to books as I am. The feel is perfect and it's so easy to read. I know that there is a lot of you out there that will enjoy this. So check it out and make sure its a part of your bookcase.

Daylighters By Rachel Caine - Book 15 of The Morganville Series.

Hello All,

Today, in my opinion, is a sad day for it turns out that we are saying goodbye to those we love in Morganville and closing the door on their journey. I have been there since the start, and it's breaking my heart to even consider writing this post. I must go forth and do what needs to be done before the tears take hold.

Daylighters- Rachel Caine

Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they've ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated - vampires from humans - they realise that the changes definitely aren't for the better. It seems that an organisation called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they've never had: hope of a vampire-free future. And while it sounds like salvation - even for the vampires themselves - the truth is far more sinister and deadly. Now, Claire, Shane and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end ...Includes a brand new and exclusive Morganville short story.

Review: 5/5

Perfect ending to a whirlwind story that shouldn't be forgotten and must be read time after time.

That was the first thing I thought after the tears had stopped pouring and my heart stopped pounding. The most magical moment is had in that book at the end. The journey throughout the book really did feel like they were tying up loose ends but in the right way. A much-needed way.

Rachel deals from her deck of plot twists and heart wrecking moments right up to the very end. She doesn't just leave you wishing the series wouldn't end. She leaves a good warm fuzzy feeling behind. It just felt right and exactly how a fantastic series such as that should end.

This series is a must buy!!!

Everlasting (Book 6 Immortals) By Alyson Noel Review

Hello All,

I was sadden greatly yesterday when the amazing series came to an end by Alyson Noel who gives us all hope for some great things in the future. I hope to have the chance to review more up to date work as I get into other series this year.

At New Year I decided that I was going to get involved with those readers on Goodreads that wanted to finish the series they have started off this year. They came up with a fun way to do so and I'm now taking part. I can see a lot of moments where I'm sad the series has ended but happy that I was able to see the final chapters of these characters lives.

So stay tuned for that. :D

Everlasting By Alyson Noel.

Their epic love story has captured the hearts of millions and enchanted readers across the world.Everlasting is the beautiful finale to Alyson Noël's bestselling Immortals series, in which their journey draws to a spectacular conclusion―where all will be revealed.
Their darkest enemies now defeated, Damen and Ever are free to embark upon their final quest―to free Damen from the poison lingering in his body. If they can just find the antidote, they'll finally be able to feel each other's touch―and experience the passionate night they've been longing for. But their fight to be together will lead them into the most formidable terrain yet…into the dark heart of Summerland.
Here in a land of scorched earth and endless rain, Ever and Damen will discover their relationship's hidden origins, expose a secret history they never imagined…and come face to face with the true reason fate keeps tearing them apart. Only then, when the final mystery is unraveled and the last secret revealed, Ever and Damen's future will hinge on one ultimate decision that will put everything at stake….even eternity.

Review- 5/5 Stars

This book was going to be the one to finish the series and it was one of those kind of stories that were just waiting to explode with long, longing as well as answers to the most important questions. I found that Alyson Noel delivered on all of them and not just that. She found away to make sure that Damen and Ever never had to deal with their bad Karma again. It was something that I wasn't sure was going to be possible as I remained glued to the pages as they set out the twisting, heart aching story.

At the end of the novel I could feel myself holding my breath wishing that Ever and Damen could be together. That they would find some way to make it through the hardest test of all. The one that would decide their fate as a couple. The challenge this time had to be done by Ever and Ever alone. It was the right answer to what she had been lacking for some time.

Inner strength.

I was glad that there was a good out come for the soul of Haven, Drina, Roman and the others. I felt like it was something that would have been wrong if she hadn't addressed it. Despite how much we all really hated them. I was glad there wasn't a single thread that was left untied. I think that this takes more than a little talent to pull off and for Alyson Noel to do it so well then I couldn't be more impressed.

I look forward to the next piece she does and I know for certain that its going to be more than worth any amount of waiting.
