L. Anne Carrington Is In The Wrestling Hot Seat!

Hello Readers,

Today we have the sexy, the super talented L. Anne Carrington here for you all. She is the Best Selling Author in the Wrestling Division on Amazon with her ground breaking Adult Wrestling, Romance Erotic book called 'The Cruiserweight' links for that book you will find at the end of the Interview, her talents are spread across the board and she is very much my tag team partner in bringing Romance and Wrestling together. So without further a do here is L. Anna Carrington.

1. What was the influence you had to go into being a wrestling reviewer?

I went to shows in the 1980's with my former sister-in-law, with whom I'm still friendly to this day. In the 1990's, I'd gotten away from wrestling to pursue other interests, and actually got back into it when I came
across Smackdown one night by accident while flipping channels.

2. What was the biggest reason that you stepped away from the Wrestling?

It was a combination of dealing with the aftermath of my parents' respective deaths, pursuing music and acting interests, and working shifts, so I wasn't always home to watch television, or had many opportunities to go to live shows. Around 1999, things started to slow down a bit.

3. If you were naming the top 5 wrestlers of all time, who would you pick?

Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Iron Mike Sharpe, The Rock, and Ivan Putski.

4. Who would you say is the most romantic Wrestling of the PG Era and of the
Attitude Era?

I hadn't given much attention to either era, so I can't give a clear and honest answer.

5. If you could pick a room to be in for 5 minutes to ask a wrestler any questions you liked, which room would you choose,  Paul London, Brain Kendrick or Matt Hardy?

That's a no-brainer. Brian Kendrick

6. What do you think the tag team of romance and wrestling could do to both businesses?

They would open doors for authors, fans, and readers. All that needs done is convincing those involved in each market that presenting such books could not only benefit wrestling/romance authors, but also the genre as a whole. It would attract a new group of readers to events and help boost book sales, plus draw attention from the untapped wrestling worlds if the concept of wrestling and romance were discussed more often.

 7. In your mind what is missing in the wrestling world right now and what would you
change?

More actual wrestling. I know it's "sports entertainment," per se, but what's actually needed is more concentration on the sport aspect. I'm not saying cut out story lines altogether, just use a lot less of them and
give the audience more quality matches instead.

8. 'The Crusierweight' was an amazing book and if it were to be turned into film, who would you choose to play your characters?

Well, Brian Kendrick would be my first choice for Brett, since that part would require a smaller than average cruiserweight who's a high flyer and a bit of an underdog at the same time.  I'm still bouncing around thoughts for Karen, so I don't have a definite answer who would be best to portray her just yet. More than likely, an unknown actress either from Pittsburgh or one familiar with the city and its culture. Danny Trejo would make an excellent Patrick, if he was willing to do a bit of wrestling training to prepare for the part.

9. What is the book of the month for you?

I just finished Camilla Lackberg’s "The Ice Princess" not long ago. Other than the POV switching a great deal, I found this book an excellent mystery from start to finish, so it's my choice.

10. How do you relax after a long day of writing?

I read! I enjoy reading work of some of my fellow authors, many who have become friends. I also like to unwind in the evening with a cup of chamomile tea and cuddling with the cats while watching a good classic movie, or during the summer, I enjoy going for long walks and the outdoor festivals and markets.

11. What is your most see show every week?

I'm not a big TV person, but anything on either the History Channel or Investigation Discovery is always a good choice aside from my weekly fix of TNA Wrestling.

12. What is your must Attend Next year and this year?

Well, if things work out for the panel you and I are planning, next year, I'd say the RT Book Lovers Convention for sure. As for this year, the Three Rivers Arts Festival in June...hopefully, it won't rain the entire
time.

Chris Jericho's Undisputed Book

Hello Readers,

It has taken me awhile, but I have finally finished 'Chris Jericho's Undisputed, How to become the World Champion in 1,372 steps.'

The book follows Chris Jericho's life in both the Wrestling world and his time out with his family as well as his band Fozzy. I couldn't really come up with a Blurb that did this book justice myself so I copied the one from Amazon. (Blurb From Amazon) The eagerly awaited follow-up to the New York Times bestselling A Lion's Tale documents Chris Jericho's meteoric rise to wrestling glory in the WWE.

A Lion's Tale gave readers a portrait of Jericho as a young man. Fighting his way through Mexico, rinky-dink leagues and a battery of thieving, sleazy promoters/managers, the book ended with the author's WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) debut. Never one to leave his fans hanging, as demonstrated by his recent return to wrestling glory, Jericho now tells the story of life in the big leagues. But "making it" in the premier wrestling league in the world comes with its own set of obstacles and hard lessons. Jericho, in his witty, hilarious, and surprisingly endearing manner, lays it all out: the good, the bad, and the spandex.

My rating of this book is 5/5 I have to say from start to finish Chris had me laughing, turning pages quickly and unable to believe that some things had happened to him the way they did. I started reading this book from the recommendation from Shane Helms, who is known as the 'Hurricane' and who was mention back and forth through the book.

From Fozzy moments to the WWE twist and turns this book didn't just earn its stripes for the Wrestling fans, its has in my eyes earned its stripes with the music enthusiastics too. Chris Jericho never misses a beat from start to finish.

Compared to some of the Wrestling Autobiographies I have read I have to say it bypasses every single one of them. Chris Jericho leaves you feeling that he is telling the story to you personally and he has a real writers voice within him.  He became an author within my mind after reading this wonderful book. I have to say that Chris Jericho defiantly has what it takes to become a bestselling author with more than just stories of his life. He has the writers gift and I tip my hat to him.

So all round the humour, the lay out and even the witty Author notes have your eyes scanning for more. He never gets boring through the book and he has even made me shed a tear during a few of his sadder chapter. My recommendation to all that read my blog is to go and get yourself a copy of 'Chris Jericho's Undisputed How to become the World Champion in 1,372 steps'. He could be one of the minds that could take the Writing world by storm, like he has done with the Wrestling world and the music world. Chris Jericho has a huge future ahead of him and I hope to see more from him in the Writing world.

Well I Couldn't Have More News!

Hello all,

Well I know I don't have nearly as many fans on here as I do on Facebook, but I respect you all enough to put this blog both on here and on my Blogspace. We are heading towards April the month I take my first holiday since I was 14! Eeeek!

I have had plently to share with you. Being made a Sweet and Sexy Diva on there Sweet and Sexy Blog recently has been amazing. If that wasn't awesome enough the shows doing well with a couple of granteed regulars, who show up every single week on Justin TV. (Every Friday at 12pm Est at www.justin.tv/kristal_mcKerrington)

Life isn't too bad either, however I have signed the contracts for the 4th book in the A Different Life Series and the 1st one in Marie's Tales. There is plently of more books in the works. We are finally starting to leak our work into the Wrestling world. Oh yes.

I never thought there was any way I could leak this in. There is, we are getting support and I've never been more grateful for it. I'm hunting through every Wrestling contact that might be interested within doing this and I'm asking them to give it a chance. So far we have a few of the best reporters reading our stuff. More on that later on.

I decided to blog on here since Myspace was the home to me before I went under my pen name. Its a home that I have returned too and just hopes that it can help me reach the heights that I need it to reach. I really want to give my ideals the chance to star in a movie, I just don't know if that is going to happen or not.

With me nearly finished 'Marie's Tales: Taming A Player', my SEO marketing plan drawn up by Eric from Gnosis Arts and the best Candian Ebook Publisher in the world in my mind backing me then what can go wrong. I have even got myself a real friend within the Writing Wrestling Fiction Island called L. Anne Carrington.

You can see all of my Wrestling Young Adult Romance books on Amazon and on www.xoxopublishing.com/shop-online I think we are still waiting for one of them to be uploaded onto Amazon, but dead excited for when it joins 'A Different Life: A Valentines Day Save'.

L. Anne Carrington and myself are in talks with RT about doing a Panel next year to talk to them about the bridging of Wrestling, MMA and Romance. Its something that could well be the future for all three markets and fields. There is always room for them to grow in this markets, but the question is are they willing to let the bridge be built?

I have also signed the contracts for the Shetlands Immortals 3rd book too and have got a spin off series in the works that Yuk inspired. Bless him, he is great for inspiration and sometimes a good giggle. I have got more than my fair share of work cut out for me. With a possible Wrestling genre to built and having another idea for a Wrestling series. My head has opened doors and cans I hadn't expected.

With so much to do I'm still tweeting and getting ready for the end of April. I'm hoping that my time off will be the refresh time that I need to reload and head back out into the field again. I have also had the great pleasure of supporting the Wrestling world recently and hope to be able to continue to do that.

Big J Watts has shown me so much support and respect recently I couldn't be more honoured if I tried. He has shown me that the Wrestling world isn't as cold a place as I thought it would be. I wanted to give him a public thank you. Especially after all the tests and pain I have gone through.

Well I better sign off now. Here is me praying to see RT next year and for there to be brighter lights within reach for me and my ideals. Good day to you all or good night depending on where you are.

Kristal McKerrington.

Breath Taking Wrestling and Romance Book!

Hello All Readers,

From the first moment to the last you are sent on one amazing adventure that takes you behind the scenes of Wrestling. I have to say that there isn't a better Adult Wrestling book out there.

From the erotic scenes to the trash talking from there Wrestlers. Everything fits into the amazing world of Wrestling. She gets the balance between Wrestling and Romance just perfect. It makes it the ultimate read for both Romance Readers and Wrestling fans a like.

From a Wrestling stand point there is an awesome, well thought out matches. Plus there is well created Wrestling atmosphere that is well sort after. There is another great created hook with the wrestling matches and there is also a hunger in there that would make the Wrestling fans smile.

The Erotic scenes will have Romance writers melting in every scene and makes it a jaw dropping experience. I think that Miss Carrington earned every single star that I gave her.

I take my hat off to her.
