One Wilde Night: Immortal Vegas, Novella 0.5 ... Jenn Stark- 5 star review

Dear Readers,

Today we are starting another series of books by the talented Jenn Stark. I'm sure that your going to fall in love with what she has managed to come up with.

One Wilde: Immortal Vegas Novella

Tarot-reading artifact hunter Sara Wilde has had her share of tough assignments, but this one just might take the cake. When her newest client hires her to steal a fertility idol from an Amazonian sex-and-death cult, she finds herself south of the equator and shoulder deep in true believers, while Rio de Janeiro gears up for the closing celebrations of Carnival.

Stealing the idol is one thing, however. Keeping it is another.

The arcane black market has drawn a host of cutthroat operatives and Sara’s now in their sights. In a race across one of the most colorful cities in South America on its most famed night of the year, Sara must navigate cunning enemies, backstabbing allies, a fifty-foot wedding cake float and a new, sensually mysterious contact who may be friend or foe… and whose name she’ll never learn if she doesn’t make it to dawn alive.

No matter what the cards predict, it’s going to be One Wilde Night

Review

For the beginning of the series of books that Jenn Stark has planned and created this has to be said to be a good start. I would like to have seen have more interaction with the Magician. I think there is a lot more to this series than what she has offered in the first one. I don't think that the nudity was needed but it didn't cost this author a star. She managed to pull back with the light heart humor that she offered us with this novella.

I would warn you that if you don't like short stories then you will hate this. Not because its bad, but down to the fact that she has done it so well and has left enough threads open to allow the series to grow from strength to strength.

I highly recommend this one for those who like those physic stories.

Unleashing Mr Darcy By Teri Wilson 5 Star Review

Hello Readers,

We have a film adapted novel for review today and there is going to be a lot of gushing over this book so there is your warning before I get started.

Unleashing Mr Darcy Blurb:

Not Elizabeth Scott. Instead of planning a walk down the aisle, she’s leaving New York behind for an adventure in London with the only companion she needs – her dog, Bliss. A new job caring for a pack of show dogs should be just the thing to take her mind off the scandal that ruined her teaching career –and her reputation.

She’s certainly not interested in dealing with men like the condescending Donovan Darcy, no matter how gorgeous he is! But a nearly thirty-something New Yorker seduced by country mansions and glittering London parties can only resist so much! So when a proposal does come along, will she say yes…?

5 Stars Review:

What an easy read!

That was the most important thing I wanted to start out with. What Teri does is amazing and the true talent of a great author. Someone that shouldn't be rejected by anyone. She has a great eye for detail. Creates a strong female heroine that makes any reader stand up and go "Hell yeah!" about the female taking control over their own destiny. Her romance novels would even sit well with the feminists out there.

The love story itself was well developed in a world that many dog owners know and love. There is an element to the "upper class" that they would even be proud of. The whole book was a perfect take on Jane Austin's Mr Darcy's character. She would be proud I'm sure to read what Teri was able to do with the book and how she developed his frustrations while keeping the threads of the Darcy character that we all loved alive.

I couldn't take my hat off more to you. I hope that the author knows that she has done this book far more justice that I suspected it would be when I picked it up. The book sucks in any reader and it makes the reader just not want the story to end.

I will be reading more of Teri Wilson's works and I hope that you read this and it makes you check out this greatly talented author.

Never Never Part 3 by Collen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher 5 star review

Hello Readers,

The final part of a great trilogy is upon us. One that is certainly the talk of "Goodreads".

Blurb:

New York Times bestselling authors Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher are back with the much-anticipated final installment in the Never Never novella series. Together, Silas Nash and Charlie Wynwood must look deeper into the past to find out who they were and who they want to be. With time ticking down, the couple are in a race to find the answers they need before they lose everything. Can they regain what they once had? And will it restore who they once were?

Review:

When Silas starts to keep his memory and isn't losing it but Charlie is things are proving to be more difficult. The pain isn't going to stop for dear old Charlie as she experiences more heartache that finally leads to being healed where she will discover the true strength of soul mates, magic and what love can do to make sure that soul mates are never broken apart.

There is something far more sweet at the ending of this series of stories that will not just melt you heart it will allow you to see what the authors want to pass along. Believing in love is the only way to truly be happy. Among far more I'm sure.

Make up your mind and come back to share your thoughts with me on this blog.

Between The Lines- Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer Review

Hello readers,

We will have a special fairytale book for you today that your going to enjoy.

Blurb:
An enchanting YA novel from Number One bestselling author Jodi Picoult, co-written with her teenage daughter.
Delilah knows it's weird, but she can't stop reading her favourite fairy tale. Other girls her age are dating and cheerleading. But then, other girls are popular.
She loves the comfort of the happy ending, and knowing there will be no surprises.
Until she gets the biggest surprise of all, when Prince Oliver looks out from the page and speaks to her.
Now Delilah must decide: will she do as Oliver asks, and help him to break out of the book? Or is this her chance to escape into happily ever after?
Read between the lines for total enchantment . . .

Review:
This one is a really hard for me to review for its only a three star book review. I didn't hate the book but there was to many things I couldn't over look. Here is the following Positives and Negatives for this book.

Positive: I love the drawings and the idea of the book in the first place. The Kingdom that was created around us. I will keep this for my children to
try one day for I believe they should try all kinds of books.

Negatives: Most of the book doesn't make any sense what so ever. An example is below. There is a lot of jumping between the fairytale and Delilah's story. I'm not sure that I like the ending of the book either. There was a lot of moments when I was pulling at my hair wishing that something would happen.

Example of what didn't make sense "one night they ran out the castle together then she is in be in labour? - Some editing mishaps here.

I feel disappointed that I had to give it three stars as I think it could have been an easy 4-5 star book with a little more care.

Never Never Part Two

Hello All,

I get to give you my thoughts on part 2 of the three part story surrounding Charlie and Silas. I can't wait to give you my thoughts about this five star review.

Blurb:
New York Times bestselling authors Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher are back with the much-anticipated, nail-biting sequel to the New York Times bestseller, Never, Never.

“Never forget that I was your first real kiss. Never forget that you’ll be my last.

And never stop loving me between all of them.

Never stop, Charlie.

Never forget.”

Silas races against time as more truths unravel, while others twist tighter together. And now, the stakes are higher as Silas’ control slips and others begin to point fingers. Charlie is in trouble and he must be the one to bridge the chasm between their past and their present. Because somewhere between I love yous and Never Nevers and Never Agains, a truth they can't imagine, beckons to be found.

“Where are you, Charlie?”

5 Star Review

Charlie is lost and then is being held in a secret place where she is being kept drugged. I have to admit that I loved the suspense and to get to know Silas in more detail is great. We learn more about their relationship and what their parents have put them through. How they are coping and how they continue to love each other. This is a great sequal to the first book. They each make the book better with every passing volume. Its a perfect middle ground for the big final piece of the puzzle.

This is a totally EPIC series and that is the only word that I could come up with. So make sure that your apart of the readers who are going to discover a great storyline with so many lessons to learn.

Its A Date By Jess Epps and Sasha Brummer - 4/5 Star Review

Hello All,

Here we have a dance, erotic and suspense filled book for you to enjoy. I hope that you will get wrapped up into it as much as I did.

It's A Date Blurb:

Worlds are realigned on one winter’s night.

“The thunderous storm that he is intensifies and I'm about to beg him for this.”

The Ballerina
I've had plenty of practice being graceful, but he has my heart tripping over my pointe shoes. I've conditioned myself to rely on nobody else and I won't start now. I'll push back as hard as I can. However, he seems to be determined on pulling down the wall I use to separate myself from others. Removing myself from his vise grip just became excruciatingly difficult. The storm that follows this man—no, the storm that is this man—has given me more than what I’ve bargained for.

The Storm
The primal need I have for her is deeper than any I’ve experienced before. My world has shifted in more ways than one, and I’m not going to stand around and be held hostage where I don’t belong. The next move I make won’t be for anyone else but myself, and if it happens to bring my world to a screeching halt, then I’m not going to fight it. I’m determined. I want her.

This novel contains mature themes, strong language, and sexual situations. It is intended for adult readers.

Review:

Okay so this got 4/5 star for there is some elements that I wasn't finding easy to read but its done so well that its hard to not get swept up in the world of dance and erotica. There is a great deal of twists and turns with Mae and other characters. The plot really tests both characters to their limits and when you least expect it they will surprise you.

This is a VERY EROTIC book and if your not fan of erotica then I don't recommend this book to you. The suspense is just balls you over that you will be biting your thumb the whole way through those parts. There is nothing in this book that will not have you rooting for your characters.

Its a well done to these two great writers.

16 LightHouse Road by Debbie Maccomber Review

Hello Readers,

Time for a sweet novel that will melt your heart and have you emotionally entangled for hours.

Blurb:

Welcome to Cedar Cove – a small town with a big heart!
Judge Olivia Lockheart has caused a scandal. Hearing Cecilia and Ian Randal’s petition for a divorce, she came to the conclusion that the young couple hadn’t tried hard enough to make their marriage work. Her judgement? Divorce denied.
While Judge Olivia throws the town into an uproar, her daughter Justine is on the verge of the biggest decision of her life. Should she stop waiting for love and accept a marriage of convenience? Olivia’s best friend, Grace, has troubles of her own. Dan, her husband, is increasingly distant and Grace is starting to wonder if he’s having an affair.
And in Cedar Cove, nothing stays secret for long.
Make time for friends. Make time for Debbie Macomber.

The Review 5/5 Stars:

Positives:

The whole world was developed well and I could see everything clearly in my head. I could feel the emotions of the characters and the perils that were involved in their journeys. There wasn't a moment that I didn't love the book and I had a hard time putting the book down. The love and friendly, cozy feel of Cedar Cove will let you slip into a warm, comfortable place that we all seek I guess.

Negatives:

The multiple character changes were hard but Debbie does it in such a smooth manner that it helps to keep the story flowing well. Its not jarring but it might be off putting to readers who like to stick with one character from beginning to end. I would like to see the panic that Jack is attending for Charlotte's birthday. Those are the only thing that I found might be stumbling blocks.
