4/5 Review

This book has to be the best wedding novella that I have read and I think it was actually planned that tipped it over the edge. That was what made it worth something. I love how the whole thing had a great warm feel to it. However, I did think that there was going to be some of her normal readers that would be disappointed in it because it didn't have the same harsh crime element that most expect to find in the books that come from Marie Force.

I can safely say that Marie Force could be a great romance author of any sub-genre that she picked for she has an edge in her words that would fit into all those different brackets. I hope that she will find herself gaining more success in no matter what areas that she decides to go into.

Fatal: Consequences- Marie Force - Review

Hello All,

We are getting into the third book of the Fatal series by Marie Force and I hope that you're enjoying the reviews as much as I am. These are certainly impactful books.

Fatal Consequences Blurb:

Politics can be murder…
Lieutenant Sam Holland has no sooner accepted Senator Nick Cappuano's proposal than she's back on the job. A woman has been found brutally murdered and evidence points to Henry Lightfeather, a senator and close friend of Nick's. While Sam investigates, Nick stands by his friend—complicating his own bid for reelection and causing tension between the couple.
As Sam's investigation reveals a scandal that rocks the capital, Nick and Sam discover that the biggest threat to their future might be someone from her past…

4/5 stars

Well, this one has a Scandal feel if nothing else. The political danger in this book is enough to make any Washington politician swear especially since we all know that scandals, bad behaviour has always existed there. So this one had the same sort of packed punch as a lot of the other books like this has.

Nick and Sam are going through the wringer as they try to survive. For Sam, she faces death in a direct stare down when one of her suspects kidnaps her. Poor Freddie will go through his own emotional turmoil and it all happens in a week that would destroy any lesser people.

Jeannie a fellow cop will take the brunt of a message that is for Sam who is fired up by it while she is facing her own problems with her stomach. Her past coming back to life with the always pending release of her husband.

Nick never once misses a step with her even when his mother destroys him. He picks himself up knowing that Sam needs him. The lead up to the wedding gives this book another edge.

What made me drop a star was that the rape scenes were a little too graphic for me as a reader. I know that the writer was trying to draw out a reaction from me and she did. I just have to say that I wasn't expecting that sort of one. I am grateful that she put herself out there for it was what made the book work.

It's a great suspense thriller to read and to get your mind tangled up in the many layers of this novel. Marie Force is one of the very few that can do an onion layered style series successful and that makes her rare so enjoy her.

Fatal Justice- By Marie Force - Review

Hello All,

I'm getting into the second book in the twelve book series that was created by Marie Force. I have to say that I started reading this for my mother in law to see if she would like it or not. I think she will. I hope that you will fall in love with these books too.

Fatal Justice

She looked into the dead face of the man she'd dined with the night before
Standing over the body of a Supreme Court nominee, Lieutenant Sam Holland is hip-deep in another high-profile murder case. The fact that she was one of the last people to see Julian Sinclair alive just complicates things even more. On the plus side, her relationship with Senator Nick Cappuano is heating upbut it's also attracting a lot of unwanted media attention and blinding flashbulbs.
The pressure is on for Sam to find Sinclair's killer, but a new lead in her father's unsolved shooting puts her in unexpected danger. When long-buried secrets threaten to derail her relationship with Nick, Sam realizes that while justice is blind, mixing romance with politics has the potential to be fatal
"An outstanding romantic suspense." RT Book Reviews, 4.5 stars, on Fatal Justice

4/5 Reviews

From the off start, this book takes us to the next stage with the story that had everything tied up around Nick and Sam. Poor Nick is about to face what most boyfriends, husbands of cops live with every day. For this part, I have to say it's a nice touch and think that there were many families who would have loved this.

I struggled with the double caseload that was part of the storyline that I found rather distracting or how quickly that the book did. I have gotten into loving the way that Sam can take on everything with great ease. The suspense and rush were what made my heart race faster.

The gang element seemed to be thrown in at the last second and made the plot feel slightly rushed. I did though like the ending that seemed to be a showdown in the heat of the moment at the end of the novel. It was a well constructed emotional outing that I imagine must have taken hours to write. There was a humour to the scene and a gut tensing moment that made me want to go 'oh snap.'

The proposal in itself was worth reading and the heart stopping moments in between were also worth reading the book for even if there were parts that just didn't fit well with me. The book has a lot to offer a lot of readers out there.

Blood Prophecy- Alyxandra Harvey - Review

Hello all,

We are now reviewing the end of the great series and Alyxandra Harvey I was super sad that it was over. There was tears brimming on my rims.

Blood Prophecy- Alyxandra Harvey

Solange Drake has been officially crowned Queen of the Vampires, fulfilling the centuries old prophecy that foretold the rise to power of a daughter born to an ancient vampire line. Except Solange's thoughts and actions are no longer her own-she's been slowly being possessed by the spirit of Viola, the first daughter born into the Drake line, since her bloodchange. And instead of uniting the vampire tribes under the rule of an ancient daughter as the prophecy predicted, Viola would rather destroy them all and enslave humans in a personal vendetta for the devastation both wrought to her life centuries ago. Can Solange break her hold in time to save everyone she loves from a vampire civil war, hunter attack, and each other? Not everyone will survive the prophecy . . . perhaps not even her.

5/5 Review

I got stuck into this book at great speed because of the end of the last one and I was trying to savour the great final of the book, but I couldn't it was just too good. I got wrapped up in Lucy's troubles. I was shouting at Solange the whole way through it. I couldn't get enough of how all the characters were tied together and was glad to see that Solange finally come into her own. So much happened in this book that is far too hard for me to lay it all out in neat little parcels.

I will leave you with this, I can't be more touched by this book. Saddened it ended and wishing it would restart. Please read this series above all other vampire ones please read this one.

Blood Moon By Alyxandra Harvey Review

Hello Readers,

I couldn't wait to review book number five of The Drake Chronicles, and I'm now I fear the end of the sixth book. I have to say this review that I found the easiest to write.

Blood Moon Blurb:

When the vampire tribes convene for the rare Blood Moon ceremonies, family secrets and forbidden magic put all of the Drakes in danger. Nicholas is caught between saving his little sister, Solange, or his girlfriend, Lucy. Who will he choose?

5/5 Stars - Review

Right from the beginning, I was tangled up in the epic story that was brewing with Lucy, Solange, Keiran and Nicholas. Things were certainly showing peril that no one could have seen coming. Another element seems to be at play from the first page of Solange's appearance. Her addiction to live blood is proving to be a problem. Her rebellion towards her family was very shocking indeed especially if you have followed Solange's story.

I couldn't put this book down as the story continued to develop at a fast pace. Lucy seems to come into her own in this book, and Nicholas is tested in ways that I never imagined. I was left asking myself so many questions at the end of this book.

Who the hell was Dawn?

This is a must have the book, and you will not be able to stop reading it I promise.

Bleeding Hearts (Drake Chronicles) By Alyxandra Harvey Review

Hello All,

So we are getting close to me finishing the Drake Vampires series. I have to say am sad. If your reading this Alyxandra Harvey please find a way to publish more of this great series. I just know there is more to this two families.

Bleeding Hearts By Alyxandra Harvey

Lucy's cousin Christabel has come to live in Violet Hill, and adjusting to the difference between life in a small mountain town and her home in the city is difficult. The strict curfew that Lucy's parents enforce is hard to respect. Surely something really dangerous couldn't possibly happen in this tiny town.

But Christabel starts to notice some mysterious happenings, and it seems like Lucy, her boyfriend Nicholas and his brother Connor are all in on a secret that Christabel doesn't understand - one that seems deadly serious. Although she won't admit it, Christabel would love to be in on any secret with Connor Drake. When Christabel is kidnapped by the ruthless Hel-Blar vampires, Lucy and Connor finally fill her in on all the undead drama. Together, they must find a way to stamp out the Hel-Blar for good.

5/5 Stars - Reviews

I just can't say enough good things about this story. I love the name Christabel for the start especially when we learn about the poem. I have to say with my name I would love it came with something so awesome. Not just well pieces of rock.

Christabel is my kind of character with her love of books and the need to go over poems that were memorised. There is an edge to this book that I loved so wholeheartedly. I loved how Christabel saw this whole adventure as a book that she had been dropped into. I actually said, "Yes that is so cool." I enjoyed the relationship that was developing with Connor. I would have liked to see more of Helena's reaction to the situation personally. That is only because I have a little love for her.

I could have hugged Alyxandra Harvey when she added another kind of Vampire especially when she entered the Viking word. I was so happy. I'm Viking mad I think. Anyway. I have to say I couldn't contain myself when I finished this book at like 3 am and went straight into the next one in the series. I just couldn't get enough of it.

Out did yourself, Alyxandra Harvey! I love it. Well done.

Midnight Bites - Rachel Caine - 16/16 of Morganville Vampires

Hello All,

I'm saddened today at the loss of a series that I was in love with from the very beginning and how I didn't want to read this last book as it would mean the end of the series.

Sadly that day has come.

Morganville Vampire's Book 16
Midnight Bites-
Rachel Caine

New York Times bestselling author Rachel Caine presents a collection of stories—including six new tales—featuring the little Texas town that’s overrun by the undead.
WELCOME TO MORGANVILLE.
YOU’LL NEVER WANT TO LEAVE.

By day, Morganville, Texas, is just a typical college town. By night, the vampires emerge and take control....

In a town where it’s not safe to be out after dark, student Claire Danvers and her friends have had their fair share of thrills. But Morganville still has a few secrets left to tell.

Now, in this collection, you can venture down the town’s strange streets, revisit all the tales you’ve come to love, and experience six new stories featuring your favorite Morganville residents—both human and vampire...

5/5- Review

From Eve, Marlyn, Shane, Oliver and all the other characters of this great town has come to make me feel whole with their own stories, adventures, etc. The idea of doing the short stories has touched me, and it wasn't something I was sure I could read the short stories books don't always tie in well together. Rachel Caine managed this without a problem.

I couldn't get enough of the different teams and pairings that she presented to us. I have to say thank you to the Kickstarter who gave us something beyond special. There was no other way to end the series and its something that I'm grateful to

have read. I hope that Rachel Caine will go back to the town because Jeremy has invaded or because there is a new threat that this band can solve.

With tears in my eyes, I say farewell and Rachel you got yourself a reader for life.
