The Billionaire's Pregnant Secretary 1: Samson's New Secretary Kindle Edition by Danielle Jamesen - 5 STAR Review

Hello Readers,

The storm that I thought was gone seems to be back in Helensbrugh. When I was getting a chest X-Ray today I smelt the snow in the air so maybe its not to far away now. I have all ready started to get the feeling that the Christmas tree should go up and I'm starting to read Christmas stories. I have a list I'm working on.

Anyway I finished one book while waiting on the X-Ray trip today and I hope that you enjoy what I thought of it. I noticed on Amazon it had taken a beating. Its sad when short stories that are up for free are attacked like that.

The Blurb for The Billionaire's Pregnant Secretary 1: Samson's New Secretary Kindle Edition by Danielle Jamesen

Two months after her boyfriend, Joey, died in a car accident, Linda found out she was pregnant. Unable to find a job, Linda is getting desperate. Not only will she have a baby to support, but her very laidback roommate needs her to start paying her share of the rent. After talking with a friend, she's able to get an interview for a secretary job at Rockwell Marketing, a billion dollar company. She gets hired on the spot and starts work on Monday, which she is nervous and excited for. When she gets home, she finds out that her roommate knows she is pregnant.

Samson is very dedicated to his work. He believes in a strong work ethic and enjoys having complete control in everything that goes on in his company. His high standards in the workplace have caused six replacements for secretary in two months. Most of them he doesn't even learn their names, but for some reason he can't get Linda Connors out of his head.

My thoughts:

Despite the reviews that were posted on this lovely book I took a chance on it. I was looking for some fun short romance readers to get me back into the mood of Contemporary romance. I found it within this short story. I figured that their would be more to the story than the sweet short delightful beginning that I experienced. I found myself automatically searching for Danielle Jameson when I got home to see if there was a part two.

From the beginning Joey's death has a huge impact on Linda and her need to keep the baby, find her footing is such a touching story. I would recommend this to all my friends who are looking for sweet, short romances to read during their journeys to work, home or wherever they are going and the journey isn't long.

Its just prefect to me.

A CHRISTMAS GIFT 5 STAR REVIEW- A GREAT CHRISTMAS STARTER

Hello Readers,

So its so cold in Helensbrugh but yet there is no snow to cover our houses or to crunch under our feet. We are braced for the icy cold winter to come tanking in with its over powering embrace. I'm well into the depths of my list of books that must be done by the end of the year. We all know that writers and authors never stop writing right up to the holidays and through the other side. This year might be no different for me.

Starting at my notes and taking in a deep breath I have just managed to find a few moments here and there to do some well needed reading. I have managed to give you a good range of reviews. I am about to go through a list of books I have to get read too.

A Christmas Gift- Stella Wilkinson
Holly and Caleb had been best friends as children, growing up on the same street, but as teenagers they couldn't be further apart. When Caleb unexpectedly asked Holly to help him pick out a Christmas gift for his girlfriend, neither of them anticipated where it would lead.
A young adult romantic comedy, from Stella Wilkinson, acclaimed author of The Flirting Games Series.

"Oh what it is to be young! A funny, light and frothy read." Janie Oakes, Teen Reader Today

Please note that this is a short story of approx 7000+ words

My thoughts:

At this time of year we are all looking for a story that is sweet enough to make us go "aw" but not to over the top that we don't believe that its possible. What Stella did here is combine all the things we love and created a believable teenage romance. One that a lot of teenage girls who read would understand and a lot of them would enjoy. Being that its a Christmas treat I'm delighted to see how well its done.

Stella created something that is very hard to do. A full story about Holly and Caleb within 28 pages and that takes a lot of talent. It speaks for what she can do and what she will do with her future work. I think its the prefect short to kick start my Christmas reading period. I have read a lot of books this year and I have to say that Stella Wilkinson surprised me the most so far.

I take my wooly winter hat off to her.

Fall in Love: A Contemporary Romance Novella (Four Seasons Serial Book 2) [Kindle Edition] Ginnie Carmichael- Review

Dear Readers,

I am having snacks before bed where I plan on doing some more reading and I just wondered if I had enough time to sneak in a review that I did earlier...Well I just managed it while getting into TV shows recently called "Jane The Virgin" and "Gossip Girl". Two great shows and even better to watch hubby with.

Blurb:

Elsie is the first person who Alex has let in since the death of his late wife. Finally, he’s able to move forward in life instead of backward.

But when Elsie makes a date suggestion, everything comes back to him. He can’t handle the fact that being around Elsie is making him forget his past.

Will his demons ruin everything the two of them have built together, or will Elsie be able to show Alex that it’s time to move on?

My Thoughts:

Another great chapter in Ginnie Carmichael's series is unfolded with not a moment to soon. When she left us there was a fire and a lot on the line. Now she is bringing us into the past of Alex in order to make the couple face some of his demons. With the journey they set out together, a book launch, seeing her father and hoping that Alex passes the test. I'm compelled to read the entire book in on sitting. I'm sure many of you will. Each chapter will compel you to the next one.

I couldn't wait to start book 3 where I'm sure the story just gets even better...

EVER AFTER MARLY MATHEWS FIVE STAR REVIEW!!!!

Dear Readers,

Today the weather has been wild here in Helensbrugh as storm Barney bares down on us. This brought hubby and me together to watch Gossip Girl season 4. Now as many of you know I can't resist writing when I am watching TV shows. So the contemporary book is coming along on paper and I can't wait to share this with you.

I though wanted to deliver another book review. I broke down to get the Kindle Unlimited and I will be writing my thoughts on that soon enough. I've been working on Charlie's Journal and I'm sure that people are going to be heart broken, crying and falling in love with their favorite characters from Marie's World all over again.

Ever After- By Marly Matthews 5 stars

Soul mates separated for over one thousand years…

Faerie Princess, Lily Fairchild, is on a quest to find her husband, Leo. Guided by her pledge to love him for all eternity, she travels to the human realm of Terra to seek him out and guide him home. When she discovers
him in his prison, she realizes that only her true love can set him free from an evil curse that has has been his prison for far too long.
Will she succeed so they can finally have their happily ever after?
Please Note: This is a reissue, previously released under the title, Journey’s End. It has been extensively revised and expanded.

My 5 star review

Marly Matthews put together a great and detailed short fairytale that I would allow my teenager cousins/nieces/sisters to read. This book brings out the sweet and pure that we all love to discover. Marly didn't stop there when she created the prefect story of love and how it can span time. She went on step further and added the fairy element. The balance of these elements were done so well that five stars just didn't feel enough. I hope that she will continue on with Hawthorne's story along with the other characters that spiraled around Lily and Leo.

Him & Her 4 Star Review of Rocky Rochford's work

Dear Readers,

While I work through my small procedure I am happy to post Him & Her's review for you all to enjoy. I've also had the honor of having the chance to review Ginnie Carmichael's rest of her series. That was quite an honor that I wasn't expecting. So a HUGE thank you to her.

I know that this a short post as I'm not feeling on top of the world but I still wanted to do this for you.

Him & Her Blurb

Donny Taylor is your normal 18 year old lad and ever since he first laid eyes on Janie Smith, all those years ago, he knew she was the centre of his world, but as much as he would like to take that leap, the words never come out. This is the story of his last shot, the story of Him & Her.

My Thoughts

Donny and Janie's story is sweet and its the best short story to tell any man or girl who to ask out another person. The 22 pages of detail thoughts and feelings is the exact romantic moment captured in a well written form. I think Rocky did a great job and if he expanded this book and did a short series of stories it would work really well.

Summer Spark: A Contemporary Romance Novella... Ginnie Carmichael 4 star review

Dear Readers,

So the eve of when I will be heading to the other side of Glasgow for the day. I find myself pushing out a late night review. One to do with a new author I found and an even better short story series. I was writing Charlie's Journal and to calm my itch to add some magical battles I turned to reading contemporary romance. Now the kindles back up and running.

That's when I stumbled upon Ginnie Carmichael. Yes, I'm late to the party again. Would someone please get me into this party before its well taken off or not at all?

Any tips welcome.

Now here is my well laid out review of this great series that I might be reading over the holidays.

Summer Spark Part 1 of The Four Seasons Series.

Desperate to keep her teenage daughter from running with the wrong crowd again, Elsie Anderson makes the painful decision to leave Seattle for good. For her, solitude is a small price to pay for keeping Sophie out of trouble. Love is the last thing on Elsie’s mind, especially in a small town like Smithfield, Virginia.

Alex Becker is the star of Smithfield's firefighting department. He may be a hero, but at night he sees a broken man in the mirror. There was a time when he believed in love, but that all disappeared after he unexpectedly lost his wife late last year.

They both need a second chance at love. Will Elsie be able to overcome her fear of getting another broken heart? Will Alex ever be able to love again?

THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK OF THE FOUR SEASONS SERIAL

Endless Spring amazon.com/dp/B00YSBDLXU

My Thoughts:

I read this story when I was in need of a great awkward contemporary love story. I had been spending to much time in the world of magic. I found it with the great story that Ginnie laid out for us. From the beginning to the end the story had almost everything that you want. A heroine you can relate too, a great story and the romance was prefect.

It took me a while to write this review for its the best start to a short story series I have ever read. There's one or two words that throws me here and there, but there's no book on sale right now that is prefect. I have to say that I think Ginnie made a home run with this book and I will be following the series on with the second one. I look forward to seeing how the story goes.

BLOODLINES BOOK 1 OF RICHELLE MEAD'S NEW SERIES

Dear Readers,

While I endure the storm of Abgail I have managed to take time out to do some extra reading. One of the books I just finished and I'm reviewing is one that I have waited nervously to read. I was a huge fan of the Vampire Academy, So when Bloodlines came out I was unsure I could read a spin off. I'm sure that a lot of you are the same encase the spin off is terrible. Well I can tell you before I review this book that wasn't the case.

Now I will let you go onto the book review and for my honest thoughts.

Blurb:

When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive--this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone's out for blood.

My Thoughts

From the minute I started this book I realized that this wasn't just the story of Sydney. It was Adrian's journey too. Both of them had wounds to heal after the wreckage that Rose caused in their lives. Also you will find their carnage from these two's personal journeys back to redemption in their eyes.

These two make an interesting pair when they team up to solve the case of magical tattoos appearing in a high school. A series of murders is also soon to grab their attention. The one thing that Adrian and Sydney are going to learn in this journey of protecting the fragile Jill. Is that nothing as it seems and secrets are everywhere...

I gave this book five stars because it held my attention. It told a great story and it had elements in it that made me go "oh that is interesting", "I wonder if that is possible". Its the prefect Addison to my collection of Richelle Mead's work.

MASTER PIECE THAT EVERY VAMPIRE LOVER SHOULD BE READING!!!

Dear Readers,

So while I'm suppose to be wrestling with "The War" and getting ready for the doctors I wanted to stop to give you the review that I did for The Vampire Academy Book 6 known as Last Sacrifice. I'm so sure that your going to love it. I'm honored to be showcasing someone like Richelle Mead on my page so watch out more reviews from me on her work.

BLURB:

The final heart wrenching episode at St Vladimir's Academy.
Rose is on trial for high treason and the death of Queen Tatiana. Someone is trying to frame her and it looks like even Dimitri might not be able to save her now.

My Thoughts:

Richelle Mead took us on one hell of ride from the moment that she started out Rose's tale with her best friend Lisa. I must admit I didn't know how a heat felt, nail biting series could come to an end.

Following the story that Rose is a murder and Lisa has to prove her friend innocent sees the pair start to grow apart. That is not the only relationship that grows apart during this love story. We star to learn more about the other people that Rose's year with Lisa has on other people.

Just when all hope is lost the book takes a turn home for the goal and when you set yourself up to lose the best female leading character for some time then your heart starts to break. Instead Richelle pulls off the impossible. The last two chapters are by far that quickest read.

From start to finish Richelle Mead did Rose and Lisa justice. The ending is one that fans from all over the world I'm sure can agree is the only way to end a Rose Hathaway story. I know that many if not all of her readers will be following the Moroi stories for years to come. I have to say a well earned 5/5 star rating for this book.

SKYE WARREN MAKES ONE OF THE BEST FREE EROTICA SHORTS GOING!

Hello Readers,

Among the drama of moving house and getting a chest infection, injuring my left hand all over again. I got some much needed reviews done. Please find my thoughts, blurb of this awesome book and of course the buy links below.

"Sweet, touching and erotic, Beauty Touched the Beast was wonderful." - Sizzling Hot Book Reviews

Erin cleans Mr. Morris's house twice a week, soaking up every moment with the reclusive ex-soldier she secretly loves.

Blake Morris knows he's scarred both inside and out and is no good for the beautiful young woman who cleans his house to pay for college. But when Erin walks in on Blake touching himself and moaning her name, all bets are off.

****************

BEAUTY TOUCHED THE BEAST is a short erotic story of lovers finding refuge with each other. Not for those under 18 years of age or those uncomfortable with the subject matter.

By reader request, this short story has been continued by several more novellas. Each installment has a happy ending, but you can read all of them for Blake and Erin's full story. The series is now complete.

Books in the Beauty series:
1. Beauty Touched the Beast
2. Beneath the Beauty
3. Broken Beauty
4. Beauty Becomes You
5. Loving the Beast

You can also get The Beauty Series compilation to get books 1-4 in a boxed set.

Keywords: new adult, beauty and the beast, tortured hero, professor/student, billionaire, wealthy, maid, college student, free, freebie, romance

My Thoughts:
For a short story that is meant to be read in a lunch hour or travelling this was a prefect one to have in anyone's collection. The fairytale idea was great too and it was definitely a lot better than the Beauty and The Beast that I read. I think the author shows not only great passion in her work within this emotionally scarred man. Woman just seeking love. You get far more from it and I will let you discover that.

I rated this story 5/5 stars and I know that Skye Warren will have much more than just

New York Times best sellers on her hands in the near future. She has far more to offer than what I expected. I will be checking out more of her work in the near future.
