Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful 1) by Jamie McGuire Review- 5 Stars

Hello Readers,

A cloudy day here in Helensbrugh and we just got back from a trip to the hospital. I was reading as I waited in a place that certainly left me with some inspiration for one of the novels that I'm writing. I'm editing and writing for you so be patient. I want to thank you for stopping by to see what I thought of the great Jamie McGuire.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beautiful-Disaster-1-Jamie-McGuire/dp/1471115038/ref=cm_cr-mr-titleI did a review of a author I hadn't even heard anything about. I just stumbled upon the book as a wrestling romance author I was interested in seeing what she did that I picked up the first two books in a much wider series.

So here is the blurb:

Suffering from Fifty Shades withdrawal symptoms? Then meet Travis...Good Girl. Abby Abernathy doesn't drink or swear and she works hard. Abby believes she has created enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college, her dreams of a new beginning are quickly challenged by the university's walking one-night stand. Bad Boy. Travis Maddox, handsome, built, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs - and wants - to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight club, and his days as the notorious college Lothario. A disaster waiting to happen...Intrigued by Abby's resistance to his charms, Travis tricks her into his life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain celibate for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis' apartment for the same amount of time. Or the start of something beautiful? Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match. Or that this is the start of an obsessive, intense relationship that will lead them both into unimaginable territory...

REVIEW:

From the beginning I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this book. I found myself able to fall in love with the characters from the beginning. There was some moments in the book where I wish the fights were described in full detail and I hope that when I start the second book that is what I find. I love the chemistry that you find from the characters to whom the book focuses on.

I will warn you that there is some moments in the book where you want to hit the heroine up the back of the head and tell her to get her act together. So from a writing stand point the author succeed in making me feel something. That is what books are meant to do. They are meant to pull you in and make you feel something. Leave you needing something else from the characters. Jamie does this in spades. She will be a very successful series writer. I can't wait to see what other gems that she has released to the world.

I want to congratulate her again on a job well done.

Thank you for stopping by and make sure that you keep your eyes on the "Wrestling Thoughts" blog for the Draft Snippet of "Marie's World: The Aftermath".
